Our Story

Rushley House Retirement Home is a family run 13-bedded residential care home situated in the heart of Morecambe.

We are owned and managed by wife and husband duo Fay and Robert Thackray who have been care home managers in Morecambe for a combination of 25+ years. They are both involved in the day-to-day running of Rushley House Retirement Home, supported by their son and Assistant Manager, Daniel Thackray.

Our home’s aim is to provide the most family-oriented environment for our residents to live in. This is implemented specifically through our family values - a commitment from our home to treat residents, relatives, staff and visitors as a larger family.

We are known locally for our kindness, passion and commitment to provide excellent care in Morecambe and Lancashire.
